South Carolina Convention
Hello Square Dance Family,
The Convention Committee wanted to let you all know about our meeting Monday morning, March 16, 2020 with the folks at Brookland Banquet and Conference Center.
The CDC has recommended that all functions with over 50 people for the next two months be cancelled. Brookland is following the CDC recommendations and our Convention for 2020 has been cancelled.
This has been discussed with our Chairman Larry Brian and the President of the Callers Association Monk Moore. Our deposit has been rolled over for the same time next year – April 16th & 17th, 2021. Our only loss for this year will be cost of the ribbons & fliers.
Notifications will be posted to the website, caller & e-mails to visiting callers, vendors, and those who have purchased tickets and ads. And as far as your ads go, you can either request a refund or let those ads roll over into 2021. Just let us know how you want to handle your purchased ad.
Tickets (ribbons) that you have already sold – you can either give the dancers their money back and get those ribbons or they can either contact Meredith Jackson (803.493.8299) themselves for a refund, or they can hold them and trade for next year’s ribbons for 2021. You will still need to account for and return your unsold ribbons and/or dollars to Meredith Jackson, Chairman Convention Ticket Sales.
If you have any questions, please let us know. We wanted to get this information to you as soon as we could.
You all stay safe, healthy, and wash hands often.
Danny Thomas, Larry Brian, Sylvia Sealy, Richard Walker
